Event Ticket Policy & Terms
Thank you for supporting our indie romance-only bookstore! Because we host limited-capacity events—including author signings, book clubs, and special release parties—we commit resources and curate unique experiences for our community based on ticket sales. Due to these arrangements, all event ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the following terms:
1. No Refunds
We do not offer cash, credit card, or store credit refunds if you are unable to attend an event.
2. Ticket Transfers (Gifting Your Ticket)
While tickets are non-refundable, they are fully transferable. If you can no longer make it, you are welcome to give or sell your ticket to a fellow romance reader. Please email us at [hello at coastalcowboybooks dot com] at least 24 hours before the event with the original buyer’s name and the name of the person taking your place so we can update our guest list.
3. Book-Included Tickets
If your ticket included a copy of a book and you cannot attend, your book will be held at the shop for pickup.
Books must be picked up within [30/60] days after the event.
Unclaimed books after this period will be donated or returned to inventory.
If you need the book shipped to you, please contact us to arrange shipping at your own expense.
4. Event Cancellations or Postponements
In the rare event that we must cancel or reschedule an event due to author cancellation, severe weather, or unforeseen emergencies:
We will notify you as soon as possible via the email provided at checkout.
If the event is rescheduled, your ticket will automatically be valid for the new date.
If the event is canceled entirely, or if you cannot make the rescheduled date, a full refund in the form of in-store credit will be issued.
Age Restriction & ID Policy
Strictly 21+ Only: This is an adult-only event. Valid government-issued ID is required for entry and will be checked at the door upon check-in, per venue policy.
Underage Drinking & Conduct
Zero Tolerance: Underage drinking is strictly prohibited. If anyone under 21 is caught consuming alcohol, they will be immediately ejected from the venue and permanently banned from all future events.
Refund Policy
All Sales Are Final: We do not offer refunds on event ticket purchases. Submitting your order confirms your explicit acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms. Please see full ticket policy below.
Responsible Drinking & Liability Waiver
Drive Responsibly: We do not condone or encourage driving while intoxicated. If you plan to drink, please arrange for a designated sober driver, or utilize a rideshare or taxi service.
Personal Accountability: Guests aged 21 and over acknowledge they know their personal limits and assume full responsibility for their own choices and actions.
Liability Release: The Coastal Cowboy Romance Bookstore and Vera Cafe and Bar assume no liability and are not responsible for any fines, incarcerations, legal fees, damages, or personal injuries resulting from your attendance or alcohol consumption.
